About This Quote
There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread. I believe that a lot of people find themselves starving every day and only feel content after they have been fed. If you think about it, if you’re hungry, why would you want to see a god who feeds you? It just doesn’t make sense. The idea that God can be seen only in the form of bread is one that I found quite disturbing.
I suppose that this idea comes from people not understanding how powerful or holy God truly is. I would never want to see God merely as food because then he would be nothing more than an appliance.
